The Game on project is a project financed by the European Union within the Socrates - Grudtvig programme and joins partners from 5 countries: the United Kingdom, Italy, Greece, Bulgaria and Romania.
Duration: 24 months, October 2006 - September 2008
Objectives:
- To develop e-learning games and materials for usage in the re-education and social reinsertion process
- to ensure the involvement of the target group in the design, implementation and evaluation of materials
- to continuously evaluate the usefulness and usage of materials in all the performance stages of the project
Target Group: Prisoners, groups with a risk of imprisonment and social marginalisation, persons released from prisons, marginalized groups of prisoners (deaf persons and other persons with learning disabilities)
Main Activities:
- Game testing by a group of prisoners under the trainers' supervision
- Game testing by the trainers
- Training of trainers
- Adjustment of the thematic contents according to the specific of each country that is a member in the project
- Going through the educational process by the target group
- Project evaluation
- Communication and promotion of the project results
Expected Outcomes:
- a set of e-games and e-learning materials aiming at the enhancement of competences in the fields of: personal development, development of abilities at the work place, mathematics, vocabulary, IT.
- A set of learning tools for the groups of marginalized prisoners (deaf persons)
- A site used as a dissemination tool within the project and as intranet for the communication among partners.

Involvement of Romanian Partners:
Within this project, the Centre of Professional Training in Culture signed a cooperation protocol with the National Administration of Penitentiaries http://www.anp-just.ro/; together, they will carry out a part of the project activities:
- To facilitate the participation in the project of the target group (100 prisoners and 50 trainers),
- To contribute to the evaluation of the interface and of the educational contents of e-learning materials;
- To facilitate the performance of the educational process within the penitentiaries participating in the project;
- To provide sources and means for verifying the project activities and outcomes;
- To contribute to the evaluation of the project outcomes;
- To communicate and promote the project outcomes.
