Summary of the ANNUAL REPORT 2006
The Centre of Professional Training in Culture presented its annual balance for 2006 report, a year dedicated to the development and enrichment of our training offer and to an increased presence in the Romanian territory.
Major 2006 achievements:
- 11 new training programmes were authorized, as follows: project manager, PR and communication assistant, HR inspector, web designer, text and image operator, computer use (common competences), DTP designer, museum specialist, artistic performance organizer, cultural centre operator, librarian (retraining).
- 70 training sessions took place, 50 of which were for the authorized programmes and 20 for short courses
- more than 1,400 trainees, 943 of whom attended authorized vocational training programmes. 40% of trained people attended courses for librarians, 29% - programmes focusing on cultural heritage, 14% - project management, communication and human resources, 10% - IT courses, whilst the percentage of participants in the performance arts and entertainment field was 7%.
- 400 organizations from the cultural sector benefited from our professional training programmes. 46% of the beneficiaries were libraries, 27% - museums and memorial houses, 13% - cultural centres, while the remaining 14% were represented by entertainment institutions, religious entities and private enterprises.
- 1,200 persons participated in the evaluation of competencies for different occupations - translators, freelance artists and artistic managers.
- the Centre elaborated 3 new occupational standards - museum specialist, conservator of artwork and historical monuments and cultural goods restorer, raising their total number to 5 (these statistics joining the occupational standards for cultural goods conservator and artistic manager)
- the Centre gained membership in two sectoral committees: Education and professional training, research and development, culture, sport and Handicraft and traditional crafts.
- the first working quarter outside of Bucharest was set up in Baia Mare, marking the first of several expansions of the Centre's activities within the country.
- annual turnover: Euro 470,000 (RON 1,550,572).
